Omar Asghar Khan Foundation

Resilience

Omar Asghar Khan Foundation builds resilience against adverse impacts of climate change, development deficits and inequality. It supports grey and green climate-compatible, sustainable development. It promotes policies and investments in differential adaptation and anticipatory options to reduce vulnerability and achieve inclusive, broad-based solutions to climate change. Working with communities, governments and the private sector, the Foundation opens new opportunities to promote nature-based solutions in water management, climate-smart agriculture, climate-adapted infrastructure, transition to renewable energy, and circular waste economy. Adopting a rights-based approach, the Foundation equips women, youth, and other vulnerable groups with green skills and sustainable livelihood opportunities. It promotes early warning systems, anticipatory actions and climate-linked safety nets to protect at-risk communities from sudden and slow-onset climate hazards that disrupt lives and livelihoods and deepen human suffering.
