Since its inception in 2000 the Foundation has helped thousands of human rights activists, development practitioners, students, academics, journalists, farmers, trade unionists, lawyers, and artists across Pakistan to champion citizenship rights and democratic values. Through training, knowledge creation, dialogues, convening, policy advocacy, media programming and building regional and national coalitions, the Foundation has assisted this cadre of rights defenders to call for stronger democratic institutions, accountable public budgets, better access to justice and deeper commitment to social cohesion.
