Ms. Rashida Dohad of #omarasgharkhanfoundation appeared on the popular TV show #RedLineWithTalatHussain to discuss the state’s unfulfilled promises to rehabilitate those affected by the earthquake that devastated KP and Kashmir on 8 October 2005. Despite the passage of two decades, the New Bakhrial City remains a plan on paper and all the damaged public facilities including 5,722 schools are not yet reconstructed. “People, especially the poor, are not a priority for governments,” was a key reason for this failure, said Ms. Dohad.
