Team Foundation meet to reflect & move forward

Team Foundation reviewed the impact of its efforts & shaped future implementation strategies. Over three days, it took stock of its programmes implemented in 2018-19 and identified upcoming programme priorities. Using the framework of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency & sustainability each theme programme presented its experiences from1 May 2018–31 March 2019, effectively using photographs, animation and other material including a video. Under social accountability, careful selection of CSOs, iterative review & fine-tuning of module, consistent staff training, effective SAP database and the capacity building approach, in continuum, emerged as good practices. Areas of improvements were: even better selection of CSOs, more women & the vulnerable, highlight success stories and help CSOs unlock funds. Successful khuli kutcheries were due to combining events, including all tiers, especially NC/VC, and, selecting appropriate venues. It was agreed that there was a need to build on momentum, adapt strategies according to local realities, improve public mobilization, encourage an active & broad-based Public Contact Committee. The PRP Activity Chart for April-December 2019 was prepared in the follow-up meeting on 12 April.

A new Har Dil Azeez Award was introduced. Through secret ballot, team members listed three colleagues in order of priority who showed exceptional EQ – excellent ability to work in teams, dependable, willing to support other team members, willing to take on extra work, etc. The first preference was awarded 10 marks, the second 5 marks and the third 3 marks. The ED excluded herself, and, served as the Election Commissioner. Based on all votes polled, Mr. Rashid Awan became the first recipient of the Har Dil Azeez Award. He was awarded with a certificate and shield.

The team was provided opportunities to spend time together with planned excursions and meals. Fact-checking was encouraged by mandating an inquiry about each place visited. Selected team members (different for each place) played the game two lies & one truth to discuss distinctive features of each place. The management of each excursion was assigned to different team members to encourage shared responsibility for the PRP.
